Seaholm Power Plant Redevelopment
CPM Texas led the design and construction teams tasked with revitalizing the historic Seaholm Power Plant that had been dormant for many years. This historical building, located near Lady Bird Lake in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas, was about to get a second life as part of an exciting mixed-use redevelopment. The development process for the Public Private Partnership included many presentations to City Boards and Commissions, stakeholder groups, and Neighborhood Associations.
The Seaholm project has 3 distinct elements:
•Renovation/conversion of 1950’s power plant into creative office and restaurant space
•New construction of a two-story mixed-use building for retail and office uses
•New construction of a thirty-story mixed-use tower with first floor restaurant/retail
