Dave Stauch brings over 40 years of leadership in Central Texas development and construction, with a legacy of delivering some of the region’s most iconic and complex projects. Known for his strategic problem-solving and steady judgment, Dave has built a reputation as a trusted advisor to both public and private sector clients.
Over the course of his career, Dave has led projects totaling more than $3 billion, including:
- The restoration and extension of the Texas State Capitol
- The Seaholm Power Plant redevelopment
- The creation of Sematech
- The relocation and expansion of Concordia University
- The Independent, the tallest residential tower in Texas
In addition to landmark developments, Dave is recognized for his expertise in project recovery, having successfully turned around efforts such as the Travis County Justice Center and MD Anderson’s Basic Sciences Research Building.
A graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Building Construction, Dave co-founded and led the Austin office of HS&A before launching CPM Texas in 2013. He continues to serve as a construction claims consultant and expert witness, and remains active in shaping the future of the industry.
Dave has held leadership roles with the Urban Land Institute of Austin (including District Council Chair) and served on the boards of the American Red Cross of Central Texas, Austin Habitat for Humanity, and Western Hills Little League. He currently serves as President & Board Chair of the Central Texas Water Coalition, advocating for responsible long-term water management in the region.
Outside of work, Dave enjoys weekends at Lake LBJ, fall trips to Aggieland, and time with his wife, grown children, and grandchildren, who lovingly call him Papi.
