Joe Tracy
Managing Principal
With CPM since 2015
Born and raised in the Chicago area, Joe Tracy made his way to Texas as fast as he could—because let’s face it, winter is overrated. Since then, he’s spent his entire career managing projects across Central Texas, where he’s mastered the art of navigating construction sites, boardrooms, and Austin’s ever-growing traffic.
With over 30 years of experience in construction and development management, Joe has worn many hard hats—literally and figuratively—including general contractor, construction manager, design-builder, developer’s agent, and third-party advisor. His project portfolio is as wide-ranging as his golf score, with notable work in:
- Mixed-Use Development: The Domain, Seaholm, The Hatchery, Travis County North Campus, Indigo Ridge, Velocity, and Leander Springs.
- Corporate Offices: USAA, IBM, Endeavor, IBC Bank, Independent Financial, Southwest Strategies Group, Texas Association of Counties, and Indeed.
- High-Rise Condominiums: Seaholm, The Independent, and The Linden.
- Market-Rate Multifamily: Momark SSG Collaborative, Sabot Development, Geyser Group, Long View Equity, Stratus Properties, Riverside Resources, and Sephira Group.
- Affordable Housing: Foundation Communities, Eureka, DMA, and Project Transitions.
- Mission Critical: AT&T, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nexstar Media (KXAN), and Capitol Broadcasting Association (KMFA Radio).
- Education: Baylor University, Concordia University, Bastrop ISD, Jubilee Academy, and Texas State University.
- Healthcare: St. David’s Medical Center, Southwest Medical Village, and Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital.
- Retail: Simon Properties, Endeavor, Whole Foods, and Long View Equity.
- Specialty Projects: Austin Ridge Bible Church, Armed Forces YMCA, and Brookfield Residential.
A proud 1993 graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Building Construction Management, Joe has remained active in both professional and community circles. He previously served as Chair of the Board of Directors for Austin Habitat for Humanity and is a member of the Urban Land Institute, State Bar of Texas Construction Law Section, and Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church.
When he’s not busy overseeing projects, Joe can be found out on the town with his wife, Stacie, pretending to understand his son Camden’s taste in music, enthusiastically (but questionably) barbecuing with neighbors, attempting to break 90 on the golf course, or passionately cheering on his Purdue Boilermakers and Chicago sports teams—because being a lifelong Chicago fan builds character.
“Joe builds trust. He looks you in the eye – and just gets it done.”
— Chad Marsh, Managing Principal of Endeavor
