CPM served as the Owner’s Project Manager for The Independent, a landmark addition to the Austin skyline and the tallest residential tower in Texas at the time of its completion. Located at 301 West Avenue in the heart of the Seaholm District, this transformative high-rise redefines vertical living with a bold architectural presence and world-class amenities.

Rising 58 stories and encompassing 1,002,000 square feet, The Independent offers 363 luxury residences ranging from one- to four-bedroom units. Each home features expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, premium finishes, and sweeping views of Lady Bird Lake, downtown Austin, and the Texas Hill Country.

The tower’s amenities are thoughtfully distributed across two dedicated floors, totaling 20,000 square feet, and include:

  • A 24-hour concierge and sky lounge for residents and guests

  • A heated infinity pool with panoramic city views

  • Indoor/outdoor fitness center and yoga studio

  • Club room, business center, and private conference spaces

  • Children’s playroom, dog park, and pet grooming station

  • A guest suite for visiting friends and family

CPM collaborated closely with Aspen Heights, CIM Group, Rhode Partners, and Balfour Beatty to deliver a complex, vertical community that balances architectural ambition with construction precision. The Independent exemplifies CPM’s expertise in managing large-scale, high-rise residential projects from vision to occupancy.
