The Rebekah – RBJ Tower Renovation for Affordable Senior Living

CPM Texas was engaged by the Austin Geriatric Center to provide Project Management Services for Phase 2 of the RBJ Tower renovation, now known as The Rebekah. Located along the Lady Bird Lake corridor in East Austin, the existing 16-story tower is undergoing a full reconstruction, renovation, and interior fit-out to support its long-term use as affordable senior housing.

Originally constructed in the 1970s, the tower remains a critical component of the broader RBJ Center redevelopment. Phase 2 focuses on transforming the building's core systems, layout, and residential units to meet current building codes and the evolving needs of an aging population. The renovation is being performed in a fully vacated building, allowing for more efficient construction phasing and safety management.

CPM is managing all aspects of the construction phase — including schedule oversight, contractor coordination, and consultant interface — on behalf of the nonprofit owner.
